Oklahoma City vs Boston 02/01/2024

Boston made the short trip to Oklahoma City after their successful New Years Eve victory over the Spurs. It would be the final game of the Celtics Road trip, but it was unsuccessful, as they fell 127-123 in their first game of 2024. Despite the best efforts of both Jayson Tatum and Kristaps Porzingis who both contributed 30+ in Boston’s loss.

Boston vs Utah 05/01/2024

After a disappointing loss to the OKC Thunder, the Celtics returned home to the TD Garden, were they still maintained a perfect 16-0 record. Boston faced an improving Utah Jazz team, but they proved no match for the Celtics. The Celtics completely dominated their opponents from behind the arc, outscoring them by 33 including five 3s from Tatum who finished with 30 points in the 126-97 win.

Indiana vs Boston 06/01/2024

The Celtics hit the road and headed to Indiana to face the Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, in a repeat of the IST quarterfinals. Boston walked all over the Pacers in a 118-101 victory, both Jays combined for 69 points on the night to push the Celtics in yet another win.

Indiana vs Boston 08/01/2024

Boston returned to Gainbridge Fieldhouse the next night looking to win back-to-back games against the Indiana Pacers. Although it was not meant to be for Boston, as Indiana came out on top 133-131, the Pacers claimed the win thanks to 2 late free throws from Bennedict Mathurin, which the 2-minute report later showed wasn’t a foul. Jaylen Brown performed excellently in spite of the loss, scoring 40 points on 65% shooting from the field. 

Boston vs Minnesota 10/01/2024

The two top seeds in the NBA went head-to-head at the TD Garden, as Boston looked to avenge their overtime loss to the Timberwolves in Minnesota. It was a close contest and Anthony Edwards in particular played brilliantly for the Wolves, but in the end the Jays proved to much for Minnesota as they produced 80 points in an overtime 127-120 victory.

Milwaukee vs Boston 11/01/2024

The next day the Celtics were in Milwaukee to face the Bucks at Fiserv Forum. Unfortunately, Boston was demolished as the Bucks – coming off four days rest – blew them away within only the first half. None of the Celtics starters were really able to get in going and Payton Pritchard led Boston’s scorers with 21, as they eventually slumped to a disappointing 135-102 loss.

Boston vs Houston 13/01/2024

The Rockets were next on the Celtics schedule as they headed into town for their first match up of the season. Boston eased them aside, as the game finished up 145-113. Jaylen Brown took over and led all scorers with 32 points and 6 rebounds, although he was supplemented well by the scoring of Tatum and Payton Pritchard who both had 19+.

Toronto vs Boston 15/01/2024

The Boston Celtics then played the Raptors for the fourth and final time this NBA season, they swept them aside winning 109-96. Both Derrick White and Jrue Holiday led the way for the Celtics in this one, as they both scored 22 points up in Canada.

Boston vs San Antonio 17/01/2024

San Antonio awaited Boston next at the TD Garden. Unfortunately for the Spurs there was no change to the result from a couple of weeks prior, despite a superb performance from Victor Wembanyama who scored 27 points. Holiday had successive excellent 22-point outings, as Boston cruised past San Antonio 117-98.

Boston vs Denver 19/01/2024

Boston had maintained a perfect 20-0 home record so far this season. That was until the reigning NBA champions rolled in to town. Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic showed exactly why they are serious contenders once again this season, as they combined for 69 points and brought an end to the Celtics’ historic home run of 27 regular season home games unbeaten.

Houston vs Boston 21/01/2024

The Cs then headed south to the lone star state to face the Houston Rockets for the second time in eight days. Boston claimed another victory, as despite some struggles from both Tatum and Brown, Porzingis dominated with 32 points, 6 rebounds and 6 three-pointers.

Dallas vs Boston 22/01/2024

The Celtics then faced another Texan opponent in the Dallas Mavericks, and the Mavericks battled hard causing Boston a lot of defensive issues, especially Luka Doncic (who had a 33-point triple-double). However, in the end it did not matter as the two Jays once again set the floor alight, scoring 73 and leading the Celtics past Dallas 119-110.

Miami vs Boston 25/01/2024

The second Eastern Conference Finals rematch ended horrifically for the Miami Heat. Boston outclassed the Heat in all departments and the defensive alterations of Erik Spoelstra. The defensive zone that was so affective for the Heat against the Celtics seemed ineffective especially when attempting to guard Porzingis. All the Celtics starters scored at least 15+ as the Celtics thrashed the Heat 143-110.

Boston vs L.A Clippers 27/01/2024

After a blistering victory over the Miami Heat the Cs returned to the TD Garden to face the L.A. Clippers. Boston was without Porzingis which apparently made all the difference as the Clippers blew away the Celtics. Tatum was the only player to score more than 20 points as Boston fell 115-96 against L.A.

Boston vs New Orleans 29/01/2024

This was the first time the Pelicans and Celtics had met this season. It was also Zion Williamson’s second game back from a lengthy spell on the side lines with injury, he played superbly and scored 26 points. Brandon Ingram also scored 28 points but the Pelicans as a whole struggled, and the Celtics eventually ran away with the win. Holiday, Brown, and Tatum all added 20 each to lead the Celtics to a 118-112 win.  

Boston vs Indian 30/01/2024

Boston ended the month of January with a third game against the Indiana Pacers, and for successive games Tatum, Brown, and Holiday all added 20+ points and the Celtics came away with another important home victory. The Celtics will continue their homestand with fixtures against the Lakers, Grizzlies, Hawks and Wizards, as they sit atop the Eastern Conference standings and continue their impressive regular season performance.
